Story:

The story of these hacks is the same as Heart Gold and Soul Silver. There are no relevant changes to the plot, so if you already know where to go and what to do, you can proceed as you see fit.

Features:

Increased overall difficulty.

493 Pokémon available: All up to the fourth generation catchable in the game, some more difficult than others depending on the version, and the Legendaries in less quantity. Most available before E4.

Modified trainers' Pokémon: Trainers have more variety of Pokémon, and many of them are more difficult, each Gyn Leader, E4 Member, and important trainers have 6 Pokémon each.

Moves, and other altered data: Moves that the Pokémon didn't learn, moves that it would learn later, TMs that wouldn't be learned, etc.

No need to trade to evolve Pokémon: They evolve with in-game items. And new in-game trades giving better Pokémon and demanding common Pokémon.
